Tai the baby tiger claims to be the garden's stealthiest shadow ninja! But why does his fluffy white-tipped tail start wagging and give him away every single time?

Scene 01
The Self-Proclaimed Shadow Ninja
Tai, the energetic baby tiger of Heart Garden, proudly called himself the “Wind-Slicing Shadow Ninja.” With bright orange fur, bold black stripes, sharp little claws, and a teal neck scarf, Tai could climb up and down garden trees without making a single sound.
“Coco, today I'll show you the greatest stealth technique in the world!” Tai boasted, twitching his round tiger ears. Coco the dachshund, wearing his signature blue neck bandana and acorn pack, wagged his tail eagerly.
Pointing toward the garden bench and large terracotta pots across the green lawn, Tai assumed a dramatic martial arts pose. “Once I melt into the shadows, you won't be able to find me until sundown!”
Scene 02
Vanishing Before Ten
“Alright! I'll count to ten, so go hide!” Coco turned toward a large stepping stone and covered his eyes with both front paws. “One, two, three……!”
Tai sprang into action like a lightning bolt. Darting around the garden hedge, he slipped into the deep shade behind the wooden park bench, pressing his chest flat against the ground and holding his breath.
Tai chuckled silently to himself. ‘Hehe, the shadow cast by these bench planks is deep and wide. Coco will be wandering across the lawn in tears trying to find me!’
Scene 03
Wag-Wag, the Traitorous Tail
“Ten! Ready or not, here I come!” Coco uncovered his eyes and stepped onto the lawn. Before he even took three steps, a wide grin spread across his puppy face.
Poking out from beneath the bench leg was a long, striped tiger tail with a fluffy white tip, waving merrily like a white flag! Unable to contain its excitement, Tai's tail was dancing all on its own.
Coco tiptoed over and pointed with a paw. “Tai! Your tail is literally waving at me, shouting ‘I'm right here!’”
Scene 04
Hey, Tail! Are You on Coco's Team?
“Gah! Discovered already?” Tai scrambled out from behind the bench, grabbing his own tail in comical disbelief.
“Hey! Are you a spy working for Coco? I told you to stay frozen, why are you wagging like that!” As Tai scolded his own tail, Coco doubled over with laughter.
Tai’s face flushed with embarrassed pride. “This doesn't count! My tail just had a temporary cramp. This time I'll show you my ultimate shadow arts, so let's do one more round!”
Scene 05
The Ultimate Shadow Crawl
Determined to restore his tiger dignity, Tai flattened himself flat against the grass. Tucking his tail firmly between his hind legs, he pressed his chin against the cool earth.
Coco covered his eyes and began counting again. Tai slithered silently toward the low shadow in front of the bench, moving like a patient wild predator stalking through the savannah.
‘This time, my tail is completely sealed away. Even the crickets won't sense my presence!’ Tai thought with immense satisfaction, captivated by his own stealth.
Scene 06
The Creeping Blue Bandana
In his excitement, however, Tai had forgotten one crucial detail: whenever a tiger feels thrilled, his bottom wriggles, and the sealed tail pops right back up into the air!
Coco quietly crept right up behind Tai’s head without making a single rustle. His blue bandana fluttered softly as his eyes twinkled with mischief.
Tai was staring intently at the grass, convinced Coco was wandering aimlessly near the distant flowerpots, completely unaware of the shadow looming right behind him!
Scene 07
The Tickle Attack and Lost Dignity
Coco reached down and poked the white tip of Tai's tail with a soft puppy paw, whispering: “Master Tiger Ninja, tickle bomb launch–!”
“Yikes! Hahaha, nooo!” Tai shot up into the air and tumbled across the grass, rolling over and over in uncontrollable giggles. His stern tiger aura vanished instantly as tears of laughter welled in his eyes.
“Hahaha! Coco, stop! My tail is my most ticklish spot! I surrender, I surrender!” As Tai flailed on his back, Coco sat down beside him, laughing until his belly ached.
Scene 08
Real Bravery is Laughing Together
After catching their breath, the two friends sat side by side beneath the warm sunlight near the large flowerpot. Tai brushed bits of grass off his fur, smiling sheepishly.
“Man, I really wanted to be a cool shadow ninja, but why does my tail betray me every time I have fun?”
Coco nudged Tai’s shoulder playfully. “Because your tail is honest, playing with you is a hundred times more fun! Laughing together like this is way cooler than hiding alone in the dark.”
Tai beamed and puffed out his striped chest. “Then next time, it's tag! I'm coming to catch you!” In a garden brimming with honest laughter and playful warmth, the little tiger’s day shone brighter than any ancient ninja legend.
